Transition meeting

The Rotaract year 25/26 commenced with the transition meeting held on the 1^st of July, at the room number 45 at Faculty of Arts University of Colombo, marking the official handover of responsibilities to the new Executive Committee and Board of Directors for the Rotaract Year 2025/26.

නව විධායක කමිටුවට සහ අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලයට නිල වශයෙන් වගකීම් භාරදීම සඳහා, ජූලි 1 වන දින කොළඹ  විශ්වවිද්‍යාලීය කලා පීඨ 45 වන ශාලාවේදී  පැවති  රැස්වීම සමඟින් 25/26 රොටරැක්ට් වර්ෂය ආරම්භ විය.

2025/26 ரோட்டராக்ட் ஆண்டிற்கான புதிய நிர்வாகக் குழு மற்றும் இயக்குனர்கள் குழுவிற்கு அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாகப் பொறுப்புகளை ஒப்படைப்பதைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில், ஜூலை 1 ஆம் தேதி கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் கலைப் பீடத்தின் 45 ஆம் இலக்க அறை வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற மாற்றக் கூட்டத்துடன் ரோட்டராக்ட் ஆண்டான 25/26 ஆரம்பித்தது.

Orientation

The orientation session to engage new members of our association in our journey and shape our plans with their comments was held on July 23rd in Room 107 of the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo.

සංගමයේ නව සාමාජිකයින් අපගේ ගමනට සම්බන්ධ කර ගැනීම සහ  අපගේ සැලසුම් සකස් කිරීම සඳහා වූ අනුගතකිරීමේ සැසිය ජූලි 23 වන දින කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ කලා පීඨයේ 107 වන ශාලාවේදී  පැවැත්විණි.

எமது கழகத்தின் புதிய உறுப்பினர்களை எங்களது பயணத்தில் இணைத்துக் கொண்டு அவர்களது கருத்துக்களுடன் எமது திட்டங்களை வடிவமைப்பதற்கான ஆரம்ப அமர்வானது ஜூலை 23 ஆம் திகதி கொழும்புப் பல்கலைக்கழக கலைப்பீடத்தின் 107 ஆம் அறையில் இடம்பெற்றது.

Club Service Avenue

Movie night, the first project of the Club Service Avenue, was held on July 24th in Room 47 of the Faculty of Arts, University of Colombo. The new Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Rotaract club of Faculty of Arts University of Colombo for the 2025/26 Rotract year assumed their responsibilities at the 16th official installation day ceremony, the next major project of this group. This event was held on a grand scale at the New Arts Theatre of the University of Colombo.

සංගමය  සම්බන්ධ    පළමු ව්‍යාපෘතිය වන Movie night ජූලි 24 වැනි දින කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ කලා පීඨයේ අංක 47 වන ශාලාවේදී  පැවැත්විණි. මෙම සමූහයේ මීළඟ ප්‍රධාන වැඩසටහන  වන 16 වැනි නිල ලාංඡන පැලඳවීමේ උත්සවයේදී 2025/26 Rotract වර්ෂය සඳහා කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ  කලා පීඨයේ Rotaract සමාජයේ නව විධායක කමිටුව සහ අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩලය සිය වගකීම් භාර ගන්නා ලදී. මෙම උත්සවය කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ නව කලා රඟහලේදී අති උත්කර්ෂවත් අන්දමින් පැවැත්විණි.

சமூக சேவைகள் குழுவின் முதலாவது திட்டமாக Movie night ஆனது ஜூலை 24 ஆம் திகதி கொழும்புப்பல்கலைக்கழக கலைப்பீடத்தின் 47 ஆம் அறையில் இடம்பெற்றது. இந்த குழுவின் அடுத்த முக்கியமான பெரிய திட்டமான 16 ஆம் அதிகாரபூர்வ நிறுவல் தின விழாவில் 2025/26 ஆம் ஆண்டுக்கான  கலைப்பீட ரோட்ரார்க்ட் கழகத்தின் புதிய நிர்வாக மற்றும் பணிப்பாளர் சபையினர் தமது பொறுப்புக்களை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர். இந்நிகழ்வு மிகப்பிரம்மாண்டமாக கொழும்புப்பல்கலைக்கழகத்தின் புதிய கலை அரங்கத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.

Community Service Avenue

Through the Little Lights project, we visited the SOS Village in Piliyandala with the aim of spreading the light of knowledge to little hearts. There, we taught English to children from grades 1 to 5 and happily engaged in small games and activities with them. The project lasted for 15th, 22nd and 29th of August for three days.

Little Lights ව්‍යාපෘතිය මගින් පිලියන්දල SOS ගම්මානයෙහි එක ශ්රේණීය සිට 5 ශ්රේණිය දක්වා දරුවන්ට ඉංග්රීසි දැනුම ලබාදෙන ක්රීඩා සහ ක්රියාකාරකම්වල නිරත විය. මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය අගෝස්තු මස 15,22 සහ 29 යන දිනයන්හීදි පැවැත්විණ.

Little Lights திட்டத்தின் மூலமாக சின்னஞ் சிறிய இதயங்களுக்கு அறிவொளி ஊட்டும் நோக்கில் பிலியந்தலையில் உள்ள SOS கிராமத்திற்கு சென்று அங்குள்ள 1-5 தரத்தை சேர்ந்த சிறுவர்களுக்கு ஆங்கிலம் கற்பித்ததுடன், அவர்களுடன் சிறு விளையாட்டுக்களிலும் ஈடுபட்டு மகிழ்வுற்றோம். இது மூன்று நாட்கள் கொண்ட திட்டமாக ஆகஸ்ட் மாதத்தில்  15, 22 , 29  ஆம் திகதிகளில் இடம்பெற்றது,.

Editorial Avenue

The “Caption Chronicles” project, a workshop on writing captions for social media posts, was conducted in all three languages. It took place on December 23 via Zoom. Through this event, students learned how to write captions effectively for social media platforms.

සමාජ මාධ්‍ය සඳහා captions ලිවීමේ වැඩසටහනක් වූ “Caption Chronicles” ව්‍යාපෘතිය, භාෂා තුනකින් පවත්වන ලදී. එය දෙසැම්බර් 23 වන දින Zoom හරහා පැවැත්විණි. මෙම අවස්ථාව හරහා, සිසුන් සමාජ මාධ්‍ය වේදිකාවල ඵලදායී ලෙස captions ලියන ආකාරය ඉගෙන ගත්හ.

“Caption chronicles” எனும் செயற்றிட்டம், பதிவுகள் எழுதுவது தொடர்பான பயிற்சிப் பட்டறையானது மும்மொழிகளிலும் இடம்பெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வானது டிசம்பர் மாதம் 23 ஆம் திகதி zoom வழியாக இடம்பெற்றது. இதன் மூலம் மாணவர்கள் எவ்வாறு சமூக வலைத்தளங்களில் பதிவுகள் எழுதுவது என்பது தொடர்பாக அறிந்தனர்.

Environmental Service Avenue

Through the Cleanup SL project, we carried out a beach cleanup project at Wellawatte Beach on September 20th in collaboration with our club, the University of Kelaniya Rotaract Club and the Colombo Mid town Rotaract Club.

Clean up SL ව්‍යාපෘතිය හරහා අප සමාජය, කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ Rotaract සමාජය සහ Colombo Midtown සමාජය සමඟ එක්ව සැප්තැම්බර් විසිවෙනිදා වැල්ලවත්ත වෙරළ තීරයේ වෙරල පිරිසිදු කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතියක් සංවිධානය කලේය.

Clean up SL திட்டத்தின் மூலமாக வெள்ளவத்தை கடற்கரையில் கடற்கரை சுத்தப்படுத்தல் திட்டத்தை எமது கழகம், களனிப் பல்கலைக்கழக ரோட்ராக்ட் கழகம் மற்றும் கொழும்பு நகர ரோட்ராக்ட் கழகம் ஆகியவற்றுடன் இணைந்து செப்டெம்பர் 20 ஆம் திகதியில் மேற்கொண்டோம்.

International Service Avenue

We have joined hands with RVCE India to provide food for families with a low income through the Naivethyam 4.0 project.

RVC India සමඟ අත්වැල් බැඳගනිමින්  අඩු ආදායම්ලාභීන් උදෙසා ආහාර බෙදාදීමේ වැඩසටහනක් Naivethyan 4.0 නමින් සංවිධානය කෙරිණ.

நைவேத்தியம் 4.0 திட்டத்தின் மூலம் ஏழைகளுக்கு உணவளிக்க RVCE இந்தியா உடன் கைகோர்த்துள்ளோம்.

Membership development Avenue

The “Rotaract Picnic” project was held on January 9 at the Faculty of Arts’ Green Field area, University of Colombo, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Rotaracters participated in the event and gained picnic experiences. Additionally, they spent an enjoyable morning singing songs and tasting snacks.

අප සංගමයේ සාමාජික Membership Development Avenue විසින් ජනවාරි 9 වන දින Rotaract Picnic ව්‍යාපෘතිය කොළඹ විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ ශාස්ත්‍ර පීඨ එළිමහන් පරිශ්‍රයේදී සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විය. පෙ.ව. 9.00 සිට දහවල් 12.00 දක්වා, අප සංගමයේ සාමාජිකයින් මෙම වැඩසටහන සමඟ සහභාගී වූ අතර, ඔවුන් ගීත ගායනා කරමින් හා ආහාර රස විඳිමින් විනෝදාත්මක උදෑසනක් මෙහිදී ගත කළහ.

“ரோட்ராக்ட் சுற்றுலா” எனும் செயற்றிட்டம் ஜனவரி மாதம் 9 ஆம் திகதி கொழும்புப் பல்கலைக்கழக கலைப்பீட பசுமைப் புல்வெளிப்பகுதியில் காலை 9 மணியிலிருந்து 12 மணி வரை நடைபெற்றது. ரோட்ராக்ட் உறுப்பினர்கள் அதில் கலந்து கொண்டு சுற்றுலா அனுபவங்களை அடைந்தனர். அத்துடன் பாடல்கள் இசைத்து சிற்றுண்டிகள் சுவைத்து இனிமையாக  காலைப்பொழுதினை கழித்தனர்.

Professional Development Avenue

The group discussion on entrepreneurship titled ‘Vision to Venture’ was successfully held on December 29 via Google Meet from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.”

ව්‍යවසායකත්වය පිළිබඳ ‘Vision to Venture’ සාකච්ඡාව දෙසැම්බර් 29 වන දින මාර්ගගත ක්‍රමවේදය ඔස්සේ Google Meet හරහා පැවැත්වුණි. එදින ප.ව. 7.00 සිට ප.ව. 9.00 දක්වා ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය වෘත්තීය සංවර්ධන අංශය විසින් සාර්ථකව සංවිධානය කරන ලදි.

“Vision to venture” எனும் முயற்சியாண்மை குறித்தான குழுக்கலந்துரையாடலானது டிசம்பர் மாதம் 29 ஆம் திகதி Google Meet மூலமாக இரவு 7 மணியிலிருந்து 9 மணி வரை இடம்பெற்றது.
