Bungou Stray Dogs – A Review

Original title: Bungou Stray Dogs Release date: April 7, 2016 Genre: Action/ Comedy/ Drama I was first introduced to Bungou Stray Dogs through a friend of mine in my early days of watching anime. Having watched Black Butler and Jujutsu Kaisen prior to that (both of them having no similarity other than being supernatural), I was a bit hesitant to try any other anime fearing they would, to put it in a rather blatant manner, “ruin my taste." Finally, however, when I decided to watch, it immediately became my favourite. And to my luck, the 4th and 5th seasons of the anime franchise were soon released in the following year. I ended up binge-watching the entire story several times and…

Wonka (2023): A Sweet Treat Indeed!

Bringing a quite different outlook to the weird Willy Wonka we know from Roald Dahl,Paul King brings us an interesting story of the young Wonka creating a visual andauditory spectacle. This musical imagining gives us a refreshing origin story of theyoung chocolatier, transporting us through a melodic adventure. Timothée Chalamet’s performance as young Willy Wonka captures innocence and radiatespositivity. It is also noteworthy that Calah Lane’s performance as Noodle addedmuch warmth and enhanced the overall charm of the film, creating an endearingstory. The film is filled with several adventurous turnovers that are entertaining andengaging to the audience (though you might want to watch yourself confrontingDeath by Chocolate because it is not your usual cake from Barista!).  The narrative unfolds, reminding…

State of the Blog

Hey hey! Happy New Year everyone! It has been a while since you have heard from us and we thought we would give you a much-needed recap on how things have been on our end. The first half of the year was an absolute blast, and we have no hesitation in calling it a success story! We published just one short of 50 articles (so, 49!) of which 24 were for our first project, The Love Gazette where we explored the theme of love in all its glory. If we take a minute to reflect on the project, we would say the following, going into it we expected to look at love not just from a romantic point of view…

Blame!? Him, Her or Him? – Part II

: An extract from a burnt letter. The thought that you are alone, even without a mother, an innocent boy struggling to stand up on his own with a BIG Zero in life killed me every time. I don't know how to explain the feelings I had all the time. He was with me in every step I took. He took me all around the city and got out the coward inside my alone, guilty self. I lived every single moment with him, getting burned inside. We were looking at the purple skies that create art all over the sky and how the mood stealthily enters to the sky in that twilight, which is the time you should never be…

Blame!? Him, Her or Him?

: An extract from a burnt letter. ....ause I was scared, I might fell in love with you again. Please do not do refuse to see me. We should see each other one last time! At least come this time, of all times we missed! I missed. I never meant to let go of the love we shared for two years. I don't know whether to blame you or to me or to him, who was unaware of the things happened around me, even though he was with me all the time. This all started from the second semester that year and I... I was alone without the family, without you in a mischievous boarding house where no one cares…
