Going back to the first day in the university, it was the day we went for the placement tests. New faces. New voices. New conversations. New aura. Basically saying, everything was a new experience. My ‘wait…what?’ moments at university
...I can confirm that it has, in fact, been full of surprises, some quite pleasant and others not so much. Here are six things about university that surprised me, and if you read ahead (don’t worry it's not boring) maybe you’ll find that you can relate to them as well.

பாடசாலை கல்வி முடிந்த பின் புதிதாக பல எதிர்பார்ப்புக்களுடன் காத்திருந்த நாட்கள் கை கூடிபல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் நுழைந்த பொழுது எத்தனையோ அனுபவங்கள்ரூபவ் எத்தனையோ புதிய ஆச்சரியமான விடயங்கள் மனதில் ஆழமாக பதிந்த நினைவுகளாக உருமாறின. என் வாழ்நாளில் புதிய ஓர் இடத்தில் பல தெரியாத பல முகங்கள் மத்தியில் முதல் முதல் எனது சகாக்களுடன் உரையாடி உறவை நேர்முகமாக ஆரம்பித்த அந்த நாள் எத்தனை சகாப்தங்கள் ஆனாலும் மனதினை விட்டு விலகாது. ஏன் என்ற ஆச்சரிய கேள்வி உருவாகின்றதா? முதன் முதலாக வேறு மொழி பேசுகின்ற வேறு மதத்தினை தழுவிய நட்புக்களுடன் நட்பை ஆரம்பித்த நாள் அது. ஓர் ஆண்டு காலமாக நிகழ்நிலையில் கல்வியை தொடர்ந்தாலும் கூட பல்வேறுபட்ட செயல்பாடுகள் பலஅனுபவங்களை என்னுள் பெற்றுத்தந்தது. ஆங்கிலத்திற்கும் எனக்கும் எட்டா பொருத்தம். ஆங்கிலத்தில் பேச எழுத தயங்கிய பொழுது நான் பேசும் மொழி புரியாத விரிவுரையாளர்கள் என்னை ஊக்குவித்தது பேசத்துணைபுரிந்தது என்றும் மறக்கமுடியாத விடயம். ஓவ்வொரு விரிவுரையாளர்களும் ஒவ்வொரு வகையான அனுபவக்கல்வியினை பாடத்தினை தாண்டி கற்பித்து தந்தது. இன்று வரை பயனுள்ளதாக உள்ளது. பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் உள்ள நடைமுறைகள்ரூபவ் ஒழுங்கு முறைகள் என்பவற்றை முறையாக…

Sri Lanka is a country with so many sweets and snacks. As a person who loves both sweets and snacks, here I have chosen my favourite sweet, "Aasmi," for Reader's Digest. Even since we are now slowly moving towards Sinhala and Tamil New Year, for me it means the Aasmi season is coming, just like Kokis and Kevum season for others.
