Beyond Borders, Within Me

I joined Rotaract not knowing how much of myself I would find along the way. Somewhere between the projects, laughter and shared purpose, a club became a community.

It gave me the chance to serve, to lead, to learn and to find joy in doing something that mattered. Today, I proudly carry the role of International Service Director, taking my club’s name beyond familiar borders. With every new connection, friendship and collaboration, the world feels a little smaller and my Rota journey a little bigger. 

Although Rotaract has taken me beyond borders, its greatest journey has happened within me. It has left me with friendships, purpose, courage, and a heart that finds happiness in service.

So wherever this journey takes me next, I carry Rotaract with me – beyond borders, but always within.

In lieu of the Membership Retention Month, Rotaractors at the University of Colombo, Faculty of Arts have submitted their creative work for the month of August under the theme “My Rotaract Journey”. These works reflect on the memories, trials and tribulations that our members encountered during their Rotaract experience.
